The SST Group at the ACHEMA 2018

ACHEMA 2018 was held in Frankfurt am Main from 11 to 15 June 2018. ACHEMA is the world's leading forum for the chemical industry and the SST Group presented its trace heating solutions for the chemical and petrochemical industry.

ACHEMA is the world's largest trade fair for chemical engineering, process technology and biotechnology in the process industry and has been held since 1920. Traditionally the exhibition takes place every three years in the German business metropolis Frankfurt/Main. In 2018 there were 3,700 exhibitors from 55 countries presenting their cutting-edge technologies and innovative processes for the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. More than 145 thousand industry professionals took part in the event.

The SST Group again participated in ACHEMA and presented its developments in the field of electric heating for chemical and petrochemical plants and special equipment. At the stand of SST Group the whole product line of electric heating cables was presented.

The products of the Russian manufacturer meet global standards and met with great interest. At the stand negotiations were conducted with both existing and potential customers - 80% of all visitors were new customers.

When carrying out projects for chemical industry sites, the SST Group pays special attention to the safety of electrical heating systems. SST Group companies have implemented a quality management system certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and GOST R ISO 9001-2015 standards. The products offered by the SST Group have valid international ATEX, IECEx and VDE certificates, which confirm the high level of quality and safety even in explosive environments.

At ACHEMA 2018, the SST Group presented for the first time on its stand the new VeLL (Very Long Line) heating system for extra-long pipes, based on an electric cable with constant power. A system consisting of three cables firmly connected by couplings enables heating of pipelines up to 150 km long with a single power supply connection and an unlimited length of auxiliary network. The VeLL system is capable of withstanding temperatures up to + 260 °C.

The product line of serial resistance heating cables for the chemical industry includes the high-temperature cables SNF and mineral-insulated cables MIC with high resistance to aggressive environments and mechanical impacts.

In the chemical and petrochemical industry, electrical heating is used for a wide range of functions, including compensation of heat losses, maintaining the temperature of the product during transport and storage and preventing condensation. Systems based on electrical heating cables are used to heat special installations, pipelines and tanks, industrial plants and roofs, process equipment and distribution cabinets.

SST Group's first projects in the chemical industry were completed in 2007, when electrical heating solutions were put into operation in a urea granulation plant of EuroChem and at two sites of Schekinazot.
